With all the news we hear these days, not much of it seems to be good.
Now I know there is still plenty of good going on in the world, but it seems to me that the media stays focused mostly on the bad news.
If you want to find anything to smile about, it seems you have to search for it.
Well, I came across these two videos of young kids to a phenominal job showing off their talents.
I especially enjoy watching young kids excell at this age because I know that if they stick to their craft, oneday they will be greatly Rewarded.
Something I always felt we lose some of as we get older. "Sticktoitiveness"

There's no reason for it though.

Think back to when you were a child and had those dreams of doing or becoming something.

Really think about it.

Then think about whatever it is thats stopping you from doing it now. Be Realistic. I know there are some things we'll never get back. But you may find that it's only time or money freedom stopping you from doing those things now.
If it is one of those two, then start Now and make the difference for your future.

Are Twinkies Gone Forever?

Try not to panic. I don't think Twinkies are going anywhere soon.
Yes, Hostess is shutting down. But before you rush out to try and get your last Twinkie ever, consider this. I don't believe Twinkies will ever die.
My guess is that Twinkies will be aquired by some other snack food business before we see them fade away.
Brands don't die, even when perhaps they should.
Despite the many urban legends about the indestructability of Twinkies, Did you know they are made with the same chemical used in embalming? Or that they last 50 years? And the many sadly true stories about the ingredients used to create them today, these treats once upon a time were the real deal.

They started out back in 1930.

James A. Dewar, who worked at Hostess predecessor Continental Baking Company in Schiller, Ill., wanted to find a way to use the bakery's shortbread pans year round. Then, the shortbread was filled with strawberries, but strawberries were only available for a few weeks a year.
So he used the oblong pans to bake spongecakes, which he then filled with banana cream. Bananas were a more regular crop.

Yes! Twinkies once contained real fruit. Twinkies were created because of seasonality.

All went well until World War II hit and rationing meant a limited supply of fruits like bananas. And then came the vanilla cream Twinkie, which was more popular anyway.

It was around this time that American food culture did an about face. It was an era when the industrialization and processing of cheap food wasn't just desired, it was glorified. Cans and chemicals could set you free. And they certainly set Twinkies free of the nuisance of a short shelf life. It's not formaldehyde that keeps these snack cakes feeling fresh, it's the lack of any dairy products in the so-called "cream."
When Twinkies signed on as a sponsor of the "Howdy Doody" show during the 1950s, their cultural legacy was sealed. Taglines such as "The snacks with a snack in the middle" began etching themselves into generations of young minds.
It was the snack cake heyday. Twinkies were being deep-fried at state fairs, doing cameos in movies like "Ghost Busters" and "Die Hard" and being pushed by Spider-Man in comic books.
Not all the attention was positive. Somewhere along the line, Twinkies became the butt of jokes, mostly about their perceived longevity (though Hostess staunchly maintains 25 days is the max).
Then something happened. Americans who for decades had not been listening to how food was produced suddenly started paying attention, seeking out organic goat cheeses made from the milk of an unoppressed herd raised on a fence-free collective within a 20-mile radius of home.
Suddenly products that had so prospered by their artificiality lost their allure. Even Hostess, which blamed this week's shutdown mostly on a labor dispute that hobbled its facilities, has acknowledged that consumer concern about health and food quality changed the game. People just weren't buying snack cakes like they used to.
It's hard not to wonder how the American diet, the American palate, would be different if the parents of the `50s hadn't begun a cycle of turning to processed packages as the de facto snack of childhood.
And does nostalgia alone justify the continuation of something so patently bad for us?
Of course nostalgia, taste awfully good.

Are Twinkies Gone Forever?

Really, I doubt it. Somewhere, someone will keep the Great snackfood alive.

One Act of Kindness You Absolutely Won't Believe.

Jennifer Vasilakos's kidneys are failing. Unfortunately, she doesn't have the money herself to get the procedure she needs to save her life and insurance companies won't help her because at one point in her life she had skin cancer. So, she set up a roadside stall in an attempt to raise money for her treatment through donations. What she didn't know, though, is that because of that stall she would meet a man that would change her life.

Ty Warner is the founder of Ty Inc. and the person who created Beanie Babies, the wildly popular children's toy in the late 90s and early 2000s.

 Ty found himself completely lost in Santa Barbara, California. So he had to pull into a parking lot to get directions ... from a woman named Jennifer who was trying to raise donations for a kidney treatment.

After chatting with Ty for a while, Jennifer told him that her kidneys failed in 2011 and she had been rejected for a kidney transplant because of a previous bout with skin cancer.

 She spends 14 hours a week in dialysis and she was looking to undergo a special procedure to cure her, since she couldn't get a transplant. After hearing of her health issues, Ty wished her well, wrote her a check for $50 and he went on his way, thanks to her directions.

 

A few days after meeting Ty, Jennifer received a $20,000 check in the mail and a letter. She said, "It was the type of letter you keep forever." It was from Ty Warner. He is well known for being a philanthropist, and not only did he want to help Jennifer herself, he wanted to make sure more people knew about her condition and potential treatments.

Ty said: "After I serendipitously met Jennifer, I further educated myself on her stem cell needs. I was shocked that this particular type of treatment wasn't available to her in the U.S.." Jennifer left the country on August 19, 2012 to receive her special treatment. Once she has returned from the hospital selected by the International Cellular Medicine Society, she will release what country and hospital Ty was able to send her to with his generous donation.

Because of one donation, one life was saved. What an amazing act of kindness that not many people will forget! Cheers to Ty Warner!

The Big Goal

The one you're working towards, right? The one that will make you Successful.
But how you treat those little steps you do that don't seem to add to much of anything, does matter.
All of the things that may seem tedious. The ones where you don't see instant gratification.
Well, treat them like Little Goals working towards The Big Goal, and give yourself credit when you reach each one.
You may find that listening to training can be one of the things you think is boring. I know. I've been there. What I do, when I seem to come across some boring training is listen to it anyway. Sure, there may be some boring parts in it, but I'll always find the content to be more useful than boring. That may depend on the attitude of the listener.. :)
Same thing with training webinars. Stay through the whole thing. I've often watched very useful information at the end of a webinar.
Even reading other "gurus" sales letters. you'll always learn something if you're looking, like headline content or curiousity, copywriting, copy length, link placement, amount of links, optin forms, white space, etc. Look at them carefully. Who knows, you may even buy if you find something useful.
I want to be transparent, so I am giving you fair warning. If you do not have a big advertising budget, don't buy something just because you think you need the product! You will be better served if you just spend your budget on advertising and use the Great products we have here in Empower Network. Work on getting leads to the Empower Network capture pages. Tell Everyone! Let the pages do the work they're meant to do.
Treat all the little steps you complete as accomplishments. You'll find yourself learning plenty, and it will be useful to you as you work on your Wealth Journey.

The Big Goal

It's OK. You should have The Big Goal in your life, a dream. Chances are since you're reading this your Big Goal consists of something to do with a business. If your Big Goal is to build your business Big enough so you can finally earn enough to quit your day job, then Good for you.
Just remember, all the little steps or goals you do are worthwhile and neccessary to Succeed in business. Even if it doesn't feel like it at the time. Later on, all that knowledge and maybe some stuff that seems to be useless will sure come in handy at some point.

With summer fast approaching and the thoughts of hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill, have you taken the time this year to ask


"Why do you Celebrate Memorial Day".

I know you're looking forward to the 3 day weekend, maybe do some traveling, catch up on some needed house or yard work, or just visit some friends and grill out.

I know most people know that Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for the fallen soldiers in Wars that the United States has fought in the past. But did you know that since the Civil War it actually includes All Wars, including the wars that were fought in the middle east too.

I think some folks forget that all wars mean just that...All Wars. (or conflicts)

 We lost a lot of troops in the Iraq and afganistan wars, and even though these wars are more recent doesn't mean the memories are less significant.

 Each and every soldier lost in any war should be remembered, and we do this by celebrating Memorial day.

So I ask again...

Why do You Celebrate Memorial Day

Let me be clear. I, just like most Americans enjoy the 3 day weekend, grilled burgers, dogs and chicken, spend time with friends and family, so please enjoy it all, but I ask that you take some time this Memorial Day and say a little prayer for those who fought and died for this Great Country, past and present.

I'm hoping there's a special place in Heaven for these Brave Soldiers who died for our Country.

 Also, Please remember the families of those who died. Without a doubt, they remember, and we should Pray for them to receive the peace and serenity that only God can provide them.

One more thing...
In my humble opinion it wouldn't be a Memorial Day if we didn't also remember those who are now still in another region fighting for our freedom today. I know veterans day is typically for this, but there is no reason why we cannot remember them this Memorial day too. Right? Good for You!

Is it Your time to Start your Home Based Business Yet?

From time to time I get asked from prospects whether it is a good time to start a business or not.
“With the economy so bad and all”
“You know…. I have a full time job”
“How will the Committment fit in to my scheldule”
“Should I wait till later or do it now”
I understand these questions and wondered, too.
Here’s my answer:
First, it may NOT take that long. Some people have built a
business to 6 figures per year working just a few hours per day (and
sometimes even less).
But either way, so what if it takes time?
Time’s passing anyway.
Most of the time all I have to say is…. are you willing to give up some of your TV watching and maybe some other things to finally achieve your Dreams?
Most of the time their answer is Yes.
Really! Just being a little more Productive with your time will be enough to Start a Home Based Business. Especially an Online Business because so much of it can be automated.
Try This:
I suggest that shortly after you get home from your job, get right on the business tasks you need to do for the day. Because if you come home and plop on the couch and start watching TV, I can almost guarantee you will have a harder time getting back up. Procrastination is surely a Motivation Killer.
If you want to be an Entrepreneur bad enough, you must learn not to Procrastinate.
No way around it.
And If you think waiting to start a Business is a better option, I strongly disagree.
More and more follks are wanting to leave the corporate world and finally get out of the Rat Race.
They’re sick and tired of the long hours without more pay.
They’re sick and tired of the loss in benefits.
They’re sick and tired of being told to produce even more.
Good Lord! How much more should you take?
Make the committment!
Focus on your Dreams…not your Bosses.
Tell yourself you are Ready!
Believe it can happen to you, because it can.
With the right mindset, the right focus, the righ committment, you’re already half there.
Treat your Business like a Business and not a hobby, and it will have no other choice but to move upward. Make the time to spend the time required every day to grow your business.
Do something productive each day to grow your Business.
Read something about your Niche each day.
Blog each day.
You have to have an attitude of “do what you have to do to get the job done”
If you’re still waiting for the right time..
There is no “right” time.
There is only TODAY.
Time is passing whether you’re ready or not.
Question is, what will You Do with your time?
Will you take action and seize your destiny?
Will you choose to change your life or will you keep doing the same thing day after day wondering what it could have been like.
